O Nτα Βίντσι σχεδίασε το πρώτο αλεξίπτωτο, σχεδιασμένο από λινό ύφασμα τοποθετημένο σε ξύλινες δοκούς που σχημάτιζαν πυραμίδα. Αν και δεν δοκιμάστηκε ποτέ την εποχή που έζησε ο Ντα Βίντσι, το 2000 ο Άντριαν Νίκολς απέδειξε ότι αυτό λειτουργεί!
Parachute
Da Vinci designed the first parachute, made of linen connected to wooden rods that formed a pyramid. It was never tested during the life of Da Vinci. However, in 2000, Andrian Nichols tested a prototype based solely on the original designs and proved that it was actually working!
